Gerard (Gerry) Sweeney

Gerard Sweeney was born and raised in Ireland and graduated from University College Cork, UCC with an Honors Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. Gerard was recruited by General Electric and transferred to the U.S in 1982. For the next 7 years, Gerard traveled extensively in the U.S as well as in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and South America. Gerard completed a Master in Business Administration MBA from Penn State University in 1992.  In 1996 Gerard transferred with GE to Singapore in Asia and three years later to London, England where he ran a Marketing and Sales operation for GE.

During this time Gerard acquired investment properties both in the U.S and overseas and has always had a keen interest in various property markets throughout the world. Gerard continued to build up his International and domestic property portfolio. After successfully owning and operating several successful Fitness Franchises with his wife in Ireland, Gerard returned to Erie, PA and carried on his passion for Real Estate by securing his PA Real Estate Sales License.

While receiving offers from several Real Estate companies, Gerard was attracted to Joe Herbert Realty by the enthusiasm and experience of the Broker.  Gerard’s specialties include Residential and Investment Sales and Property Management.
